About Dental Bonding

Dental bonding can be used to improve and fix a wide range of issues including the following:

  • Decayed teeth
  • Chipped teeth
  • Fractured teeth
  • Uneven spacing
  • Discolored or darkened teeth
  • Teeth that could benefit from lengthening

Our dentists use tooth-colored composite resin to apply dental bonding to the areas requiring it. The dental bonding procedure is done in just one visit to our dental clinic. We exclusively the resin composite materials for filling cavities.

How is Dental Bonding Placed?

Modern composite resins have excellent tooth-like appearance, and similar longevity as amalgam (metal restorations), with a much nicer appearance. Prior to any treatment, we always discuss your treatment goals to see if dental bonding is the right fix for your teeth. If so, the dentist will choose the composite resin color that best matches your teeth. The dentist carefully applies the resin to each individual tooth. During the procedure, we use a special LED curing light to harden the composite at each stage. This is painless. Once hardened, the material is reshaped, polished, and trimmed to the desired shape. This quick procedure can typically be done in just one appointment with our dentist, depending on how many teeth you are having done. You will be impressed and satisfied with the outcome of your new and improved smile.
